Meet YTC Ferg

Meet the up and coming 22 year old rapper, YTC Ferg hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand.

YTC Ferg first started playing music at the age of 12 because of a strong push from his mother to pursue guitar. He fell in love with music and wanted to create his own songs, and at the age of 16 he started writing his own lyrics. By the age of 20 he started taking music more seriously, and became more skilled in lyrical content, and making music that people could relate to.

His primary genres of music are Hip Hop and Trap music. His most successful track currently is, “Blessed” that has garnered 80k plays on Spotify, and around 50K on Youtube. In the track he talks about his personal experiences that his listeners have been able to relate to, and he has been able to vent and express his emotions through the song.

His musical influences are very diverse including artists like, Polo G, Lil Skies, Three Days Grace, Travis Scott, and even Tupac. He likes to experiment with different sounds and styles of music, as he is both a rapper and a producer, evidenced by his array of musical inspirations.
